What makes NetZero product unique?

Our service is unique in the market, utilising an automated verification system integrated with blockchain technology. By generating a digital twin of the product, we guarantee traceability and real-time data updates. This innovation significantly reduces the costs and time needed for the calculation and verification of the Life Cycle Analysis (LCA) as per the ISO 14040 standards. These efficiencies improve the acquisition of the European Digital Passport (DPP) and simplify the registration of your products under the EU’s Eco-Label. The system incorporates advanced monitoring software and establishes an accessible online information portal.

  • Tell your products story

We provide you with a Carbon Neutral certified emblem that distinguishes your products as having met the most rigorous environmental standards, in compliance with the Life Cycle Analysis.

This analysis includes specific categories for each product, encompassing energy and water consumption, along with the carbon footprint generated, which will later on be offset. You can showcase these environmental indicators on your E-commerce platform, product labels, and related commercial documents, enhancing the transparency and credibility of your company ’s environmental commitment. Furthermore, each product is given a dedicated web presence, where you can enrich the technical data with narratives that make your products stand out.

This includes highlighting key aspects of your brand, its design, or manufacturing process, thereby engaging customers more deeply, fostering loyalty, and broadening your sales channels and audience reach.

  • Centralise and monitor all your production data

Smart Netzero is the market’s exclusive software that enables you to visualise your production indicators, handle your certifications, and assess the environmental impact of your organisation, products, and supply chain all within a single application.

This tool facilitates the creation of digital twins of your products, enhancing their eco-design by analysing key manufacturing aspects and evaluating areas for improvement and sales evolution.

With our technology, you gain comprehensive access to all your product data, allowing you to enhance both the environmental and production performance of your products. Additionally, it provides the capability to share product data and history transparently with your customers.

What is the EU Digital Product Passport (DPP)?

Under the EU Green Pact, the European Commission is rolling out the Digital Product Passport (DPP) regulation, aiming for climate neutrality by 2050. This initiative is designed to enhance transparency regarding product sustainability and foster the promotion of eco-friendly products by improving repair and recycling conditions. The regulation applies to any physical goods that are introduced to the EU market or put into service.

  • What does a Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) with NetZero look like?

The lifecycle of a product is assessed from its inception in design and development and concludes at the end of its useful life, encompassing several key stages:

Extraction and Transformation of Raw Materials: This involves the procurement of raw materials, including the consumption and depletion of natural resources.

Processing: Utilisation of heavy machinery in the processing phase.
Manufacturing: Transformation of raw materials into finished products.
Distribution: The distribution process of the products, which includes the generation of waste from packaging materials and fuel consumption related to transportation.
Useful Life: This stage covers the function and utility of the product or service, along with the resources consumed during product use, such as energy, water, and fuels.
End-of-Life and Waste Treatment: The final stage includes dismantling, component separation, and treatment. This phase facilitates possibilities for reuse, recycling, energy recovery, or material recovery.

  • ECOLABEL

As consumers, we’re accustomed to seeing labels on most products we purchase. NetZero fulfills all technical prerequisites for registering its product in the European Green Labelling Register.

The NetZero Product is tailored to meet the requirements of the European Union Ecolabel. This label provides information about a product’s ecological attributes, including its life cycle, energy efficiency, and environmental impact.

Joining this system is voluntary for products and companies, but it requires adherence to a set of administrative procedures in addition to our service. The Ecolabel is governed by Regulation 66/2010 of the European Union. It helps consumers identify products and services produced under sustainable production and consumption policies, aimed at minimising the adverse effects of production and consumption on the environment, health, climate, and natural resources.

  • EU Digital Product Passport (DPP)

The Digital Product Passport (DPP) serves as a comprehensive tool that collects and disseminates all data derived from the Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) of a product.

This data will be made accessible via a “digital twin, ” a virtual model that accurately mirrors all characteristics and details of the product in real-time.

Utilising our technology, you can gain full access to all your product data, enhancing both the environmental and production performance of your products. Moreover, this enables you to share detailed product data and history transparently with your customers.

  • Linking products to offset projects to mitigate their impact

NetZero Products enable you to verify each product’s carbon footprint offset and achieve Carbon Neutral certification, assuring that all greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions have been neutralised.

Products can be digitally linked to offset projects through the Trueworld platform. This system ensures the necessary quality and rigour for a transparent and effective contribution, focusing only on verified impact projects that comply with internationally recognised regulations and methodologies.

Offsetting is recommended primarily for emissions that cannot be reduced. With consumers increasingly scrutinising eco-labels for detailed information, rigour, transparency, and commitment are essential to elevate your product’s value and recognition as a result of responsible production practices.
